EXTRA SPECIAL BONUS OPEN MIC NIGHT

As the last Open Mic Night was so popular and as there's a bank holiday on Monday we're going to have an extra Open Mic this Sunday 29th May.

There'll be the full P.A and Mike Craine M.C.ing.

Usual first of month one on Sunday 5th June.

How we started

I took over 30 years ago, thank you Maureen; then bought next door. Thanks to Roger down the road for doing all the neccessary convertions to get it in it's present form. Thanks to all the past and present wonderful staff. Thanks to Adrian 'Mel' Melling for booking some of the top acoustic acts, such as Bert Jansch, Dick Gaughan, Mike Herons Incredible String Band, Carolyn Hester, Edwina Hayes and many many more who've played here over the years; and to Martin for doing the sound. Thanks to all the customers who seem to think the food and the place ain't too bad. Many of whom have only just discovered us and a lot who have been coming regularly for years.

Thanks to Sochu Suzuki and Kyodo Nakagawa for teaching me how to use a wok and a knife and for encouraging me to do this yesterday all those years ago. Without them this place wouldn't exist.
This is a licensed restaurant that doesn't need to use meat. It's also a few times a month an acoustic/semi-acoustic music venue
You don't have to be vegetarian to eat here and you don't have to play any music either.
How long I can carry on cooking I don't know, but we can still have many more music nights I hope. So far so very good.
